ASURE Christchurch Classic Motel & Apartments have implemented measures to minimise the risk of transmission, to ensure that our guests and employees remain in a safe, inclusive and healthy environment. We are doing everything we can to uphold our high standards to maintain a safe environment, with additional cleaning, disinfecting, and we have in place, Health & Safety procedures, Sustainability procedures and COVID procedures. We have achieved ASURE 4 Star Accreditation with our robust yearly ASURE Accommodation Group quality assessment.

Having the COVID Ready badges ensures that all protocols meet the Government (Ministry of Health and Worksafe) protocols and allow our business to display the WTTC Safe Travels stamp.

How we manage the risks of restarting part or all of ASURE Christchurch Classic Motel & Apartments when required?

Carry out cleaning and sanitizing of all touch surfaces. These include frequently touch areas such as:

Curtains and pull cords, Light switches, Tables, Remote Controls, Toilet lids/buttons/splash backs, Power Points, Handles, Telephones.

All units and surfaces will be wiped down with disinfectant, Units are aired daily. We have sanitiser and soap for guest and staff use in all areas of the motel. All guests have the QR tracing code in their units and also at office if they choose to use on arrival. All staff have been trained and advised of changes.

 

How we ensure all workers at ASURE Christchurch Classic Motel & Apartments are able to keep themselves safe from exposure to COVID-19.

Health and Safety meetings are held monthly. If COVID 19 Levels changes these will be reviewed Weekly or Daily as required. Compulsory PPE Equipment Gloves, Face Masks. We maintain good hygiene, Compulsory hand washing and good cough/ sneeze etiquette.

We provide one on one training to ensure all guidelines are adhered to and where possible one staff member per unit clean. No entering units with guests present to ensure we maintain safe distancing during Traffic Light Red, Orange & Green.

How we at ASURE Christchurch Classic Motel & Apartments gather information on our workers’ wellness to ensure they are safe and well to work?

Daily checks on team members health. If they have been feeling unwell, and symptoms are similar they are removed from the workplace and organise a COVID test. Have noted who is in each team members extended 'bubble' and their details on file for contact tracing. Daily health and wellbeing check as levels change.

How ASURE Christchurch Classic Motel & Apartments operates our business in a way that keeps workers and other people safe from exposure to COVID-19?

ASURE Accommodation Group offers an 'online check in system'.  Contactless check in will be implemented to all guests if Traffic Light Red as we will be open to essential workers and those who need to 'self isolate'.

The keys will be left in their rooms, also with a letter to be read and signed. Disinfecting wipes or sanitizer will be available. Traffic Light Red, no servicing will be undertaken and clean towels, linen and amenities will be left outside their rooms. Guests can ring reception for extra items. Minimising risk by avoiding traffic in reception:

Traffic Light Orange – Reception open but strict social distancing – 2 m. One guest in reception at a time. Staff in Masks, Sanitising of Eftpos, Pens, Door Handles between guests.

Traffic Light Red – Contactless Check In implemented as we are open to essential travel/workers.

How ASURE Christchurch Classic Motel & Apartments manages an exposure or suspected exposure to COVID-19?

Team member or owner: Self isolate and organised a test.

Guests: Leave the room they have been occupying and organise a test and then the ASURE Christchurch Classic Motel & Apartments team member begins full deep clean of the unit with gloves and masks. If the property is listed as a location of interest then it is our responsibility to contact all existing and previous guests advising them of the location of interest.

How ASURE Christchurch Classic Motel & Apartments checks to ensure work processes and risk controls are effective?

Consult with Hospitality New Zealand (only for those that are members), Ministry of Health Guideline and ASURE Accommodation Group. Communicate any changes or reviews to this plan with staff as they happen and document.
